The Hamilton Turner Inn is a historic landmark inn located in the heart of downtown Savannah under the shadow of Saint John the Baptist Cathedral. The tall stone home overlooks Lafayette Square which sports a bubbling fountain. The plush interior of the Hamilton Turner Inn furnished with Empire; Eastlake and Renaissance Revival antiques provides it’s cliental with a unique and relaxing experience.

In March of 2006, James and Gaynor Dunlop purchased the Hamilton Turner using SBA 504 loan funds. The Dunlop’s hale from Ashland, New Hampshire where they owned and operated the Glynn House Inn for the past 5 years. With extensive experience and knowledge of the market the Dunlop’s decided to utilize their skills in Savannah. Having made use of SBA loans in the past, James and Gaynor were well equipped to help expedite the application and closing process.

Since the purchase of the Hamilton Turner Inn, the Dunlop’s have hired additional staff that incorporates their own version of top notch “customer service” which provides their clients with an enchanting experience. In addition, the Dunlop’s have redecorated the main floor, purchased 43 new carpets, added additional gas logs in several rooms, installed 2 additional claw foot tubs, and hung plush draperies that provide a finished look to the inn. The couple has also hired a new chef who prepares Southern style cuisine with a touch of New Hampshire style. Wine and cheese are served every evening to the house guests in a cozy atmosphere. Keeping the Hamilton Turner Inn on the Select Registry as a premier bed and breakfast is of utmost importance, for the Dunlop’s and customer service/old world style are what they hold dear.

Should you find yourselves in Savannah, make sure you stop by Hamilton Turner Inn located on Lafayette Square and say hello to James and Gaynor. They both work in the business everyday and would be happy to see you.
